🔎 NC RfG 2.0: Industry Call for Clarification on Aggregation Concept and Compliance Scheme 📖
EUROPGEN Grid Codes Working Group led by Keith Chambers participated in the development and publication of a joint industry statement calling for clarification in determining the significance of PGMs, and how to certify that equipment is compliant with the rules. Specifically, EUROPGEN seeks modifications in the upcoming NC RfG amendments to clarify the definitions of synchronous power generating units and modules, and new legal text to impose a clear timeline and responsibility on relevant system operators to publish compliance schemes, promoting the acceptance of harmonised certification.
EUROPGEN calls upon the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) to consider the proposed amendments when informing the European Commission in drafting the final legal text.
